‘But Christ as a son over his own house;
whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the
hope firm unto the end.’ – Hebrews 3 vs 6
Hello Dearly Beloved in the LORD Jesus, this is an exhortation
coming from the heart of the Spirit of God to you this day. The Lord seeks to
see His children confident in the Grace which has saved them. Be Refreshed.
Our opening scripture do indicate us holding fast to the
confidence and rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. In other words, confidently
holding on to the hope of the Gospel unto the end. Now I’d like to point this
out to you; What is the hope which we have in the Gospel which we are to hold
on to? Let’s see through scriptures;
‘For God so loved the world, that he gave
his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.’ – John 3 vs 16 {KJV}
This is a beautiful yet a popular scripture well known among
the Church and even the rest of the world. Now, that is the word of the LORD
Jesus Himself, and what hope do we got there? He says, whosoever believeth
in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Waow! He
didn’t add any other thing to it, what is simply needed according to Jesus, is
to believe, and whosoever believes He said should not perish, but have
everlasting life. So EVERLASTING LIFE has become the hope of all them which
believe, we who do believe in Him as the Messiah and Saviour of the whole world
have got the hope of everlasting life. When one receives such information as
this, it causes him to rejoice from his spirit. Now, God is saying that we
should not cast away that hope and that rejoicing, but confidently hold on to
it unto the end. – Selah
THE
DECEITFULNESS OF SIN
‘For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the
beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;’ – Hebrews 3 vs 13
{KJV}
This is very interesting. It says that we
are made partakers of Christ, meaning we assuredly are HIS, then He conditions
it to our steadfast holding on to the confidence (Hope) which we received in
the Gospel when we first believed, holding unto it to the end.
But Brothers and Sisters, I’ll like you to
know by the word of the LORD, that there is one barrier factor that tends to limit
our confidence in that hope of eternal life, and that diminishing factor is
sin. Let’s see something beautiful;
‘But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest
any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.’ – Hebrews 3
vs 13 {KJV}
I’d like you to take note of the underlined
sentence in that passage, it says; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
The deceitfulness of sin speaks of the tendency of our weaknesses to discourage
us and make us come under the law. In other words, causing us to lack belief in
the Truth that we are justified not of our works {Romans 5 vs 1}, causing us to lack belief in the Truth that we
have been perfected in His Sight not once, but forever {Hebrews 10 vs 14}, hence, giving us a mind that depicts God as mad
and offended with us. That’s the deceitfulness of sin. Little wonder the
Apostle Paul by the Spirit charged the Church to exhort themselves daily with
the word of Grace, so that there should be none among them who is been
condemned from the presence of God because of his sins. – Selah
‘Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil
heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.’ – Hebrews 3 vs 12
{KJV}
An evil heart of unbelief. Condemnation as
a result of sin forms a heart of unbelief in a man, such heart that just cannot
belief he is still accepted of God seeing the atrocities he has committed and
do commits, he feels there are right standards he ought to have kept for his
acceptance before God which he has unfortunately missed, and hence, he lives in
doubts as to whether God can forgive him or accept him back, and this mind
continually in him gradually takes him out of the way and covering of Grace,
departing from the living God. Hence, the Apostle Paul charged the Church to
take heed to their belief, lest this happens to any of them.
Child of God, I want you to know that there
is no sin God is counting on you, there is no judgement waiting for you, on the
Cross, God exhausted all of His wrath and anger for our sins on JESUS, and
Jesus declared, IT IS FINISHED! Finished!!! No more judgement, no more
rejection, you are accepted by God, no longer by your works of Righteousness,
but by the Blood of HIS Dear Son Jesus. – Selah
‘Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not
according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which
was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,’ – 2 Timothy 1 vs 9
You see that? not according to our works, but according to
his own purpose and grace. Not according to our works, but according
to His own purpose and Grace. Now, this is a good hope. If the WORD says HE has
saved you, then why can’t you accept you are saved? – Selah
‘Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost
that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for
them.’ – Hebrews 7 vs 25
The part I love there is this; seeing he ever
liveth to make intercession for them. Now my question is this; If
JESUS ever liveth to make intercession for us, in other words, if HE makes
intercession for our sins for life, what sin is there that can take us to Hell?
– Selah. I leave you to answer that for yourself.
Waow, this is a good hope. So I daily hold
on to this hope, JESUS forever makes intercession for my sins, Glory to God!
Therefore I am confident in Him, which causes me to Rejoice. You see that? That
is what God expects from us, and exactly what He was communicating from our
opening scripture. It says we should hold on to the hope firm unto the end, and
this is the hope; That God has assuredly given us eternal life, and Christ
Himself maketh intercession for all our sins forever, hence we are saved from
the wrath to come. Hallelujah! What a hope, Glorious hope. – Selah. Hold on firmly to
this hope Brother, hold on to it firmly Sister, God cannot lie! – Selah
God Bless You.
