'Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?' - 1 Corinthians 15 vs 50 - 55 {King James Version}

Pay attention to the words in verse 50:

  • flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God

This means that a man cannot enter into Heaven with this mortal body which we have on presently. That already reveals to us that our body will be changed—that's the fact that the Apostle Paul communicated in the above passage.

Pay attention to verse 53:

  • For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality

You see, he's telling us that this corruptible body which we have now shall be changed and replaced with an incorruptible body which the Lord Jesus will give to us. See how he communicates this Truth in verse 52:

'In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.'

  • and we shall be changed

You see... We shall be changed! Glory to God! This is the hope we have in Christ that keeps us going in this world of sorrow and pain! The hope that one day, we shall put on immortal bodies like the body of the Lord Jesus! And even though we die before that day, on that day, we shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall put on glorious bodies like the body of the Lord Jesus Christ! A body that never gets sick; a body that does not feel pain; a body that cannot be tortured; a body that cannot be depressed; a body that cannot be hindered or limited by walls, seas and oceans; a body that cannot die! Oo hallelujah! A glorious body, an immortal body from the Lord. This is our hope today!

'For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.' - 1 Thessalonians 4 vs 16 - 17 {King James Version}

A hope both for the dead and the living! With this hope, we have lost every fear of death! Because we are confident and assured and know that even if we die, we will be raised! Glory to God. As Jesus was raised from the dead by the glory of God the Father, so will God raise us up through Christ. Thanks be to God forevermore.

'Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead...' - 1 Peter 1 vs 3 {KJV}

  • hath begotten us again unto a lively hope

A lively hope! The hope of eternal life; the hope that one day we will live without dying; the hope that one day we will be immortal!

Hallelujah! Glory to God.

Beloved, if you understand this Truth that I have just made plain to you, you will be highly concerned about the state of the souls of men: your family members, your friends, your colleagues at work, your course mates at school, your neighbors in your environment of residence. You’ll be moved to preach the Gospel to them and get them saved, not willing that they are eternally lost, but that they might see life when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. Amen.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
