IN HIS NAME

'And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.' - Colossians 3 vs 17

Beloved, this is a very inspiring topic I bring you, 'IN HIS NAME.' The purpose of this teaching is to enlighten you on how to use the name of Jesus, and what it means to talk or act in His name.

From our opening scriptures, He says that whatsoever we do either in word (speech, by talking or saying something, making a decree or prophesying) or in deed (in our actions), He commands us to do it in the name of Jesus. How then should we speak or do something in His name? Without wasting much time, let us see the book of Revelations 19 vs 13,

'And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.'

O my God! Did you just catch something? I want to cut out a part of that scripture for you to see, and his name is called The Word of God. So here, we are told that the name of Jesus is THE WORD OF GOD. Now, let's relate this to our opening scripture in Colossians 3 vs 17,

'And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.'

Did you see the underlined phrase? He said we should do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, and if we are told in Revelations 19 vs 13 that the name of the Lord Jesus is the Word of God, then let's substitute the name of the Lord Jesus for the Word of God in Colossians 3 vs 17! Now the scripture goes like this,

'And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the Word of God, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.'

By this, we see that, to speak or do anything in the name of the Lord Jesus, is to speak or to do according to the Word of God or rather, to speak or to do according to the *Revelation* of the Word of God which the Holy Ghost has revealed to your spirit.

My dear Brothers and Sisters, what revelation from God's word do you have concerning that business of yours you are venturing into? What has God said concerning that academic carrier? What has God said concerning that relationship you are entering? What has God said concerning that car you are about to buy? Or that prayer of yours you pray to God, is it in line with His word?

For example, you can't say, just because you said 'in the Name of Jesus' when praying, that prayer will be answered, No! That prayer got to be in line with God's Truth which is HIS Word concerning that issue for it to be answered no matter how many 'Jesus Name' you mention in that prayer. And this is why some get results in what they do, and some others don't. Why? Because many prayers are void of Revelation.

Brothers and Sisters, to pray in His Name, is to pray in accordance with His Word. Get to the WORD today, and know what God's mind is concerning that thing you are about to do or that declaration you are about to declare, and that Revelation will literally guide you into an effective prayer which will definitely yield fruitful results. AMEN.
